Giving Back to the Community

The Eldersburg Office of Long & Foster Real Estate, collected food and personal items for the South Carroll Food Pantry on October 19th. The generosity of the Eldersburg community never ceases to amaze us .

The South Carroll Food Pantry serves perishable and non-perishable groceries to anyone in need. They do so at the John Wesley Fellowship Hall at Wesley Freedom United Methodist Church on a designated Saturday morning to register and load up a shopping cart with food. Most of the food is provided by the Maryland Food Bank. We do our part in supplementing the items they are short on. According to Jim Mitchell, one of the South Carroll Food Pantry Coordinators, there has been a large influx of new families seeking aid.

This is the third time we have done this outside of the Eldersburg Safeway and Aldi grocery stores. They have been great partners in this endeavor. And once again, the residents of Eldersburg came through. This post is our way of saying “Thank You!!” to each and every person who gave a donation of food, personal items, or cash.
